Clifton Art Prize 2013 (FINALIST) - Early morning sitting in a cab on my way to the airport I was half asleep, trying to catch up for much a needed slumber after waking up too early for a travel. A lively Chinese song is playing on the radio as if lulling me to wake up for a spectacular sight that is about to unfold. As uncle veered right and entered the AYE an orgy of light and colour exploded in front of me. Uncle was surprised to hear a camera shutter sound, with a big grin on his face he said “ Zǎo'ān” (“good morning”)

Clifton Art Prize 2014 (FINALIST) : Staring on a blank canvas, contemplating for hours on which image to draw -- my mind was still at lost. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, then it hit me. Armed with just a warm mug of “Teh `O” (“plain tea) from Auntie, and a weird looking fish coin bank as a paper weight, (and for some reason Idina Menzel blaring in the background)-- my hands began to move. My friends, I present to you MY BROTHERS.

Clifton Art Prize 2016 : The true intention of this piece was to compare natural landscapes to human cityscapes, but I got lost in creating an ethereal sunset. I soon discovered, I had fallen in love with the concept of the reflected setting sun, playing with the colors and how they interacted with the clouds that streaked across the sky. I ended up torn as I could not bring myself to complete the artwork as the background had become the very soul of the piece. I had become a conflicted artist.
